Men's Mental Health
Strength through support
Many men come to therapy feeling pressure to hold everything together, even when things feel difficult inside. You might be dealing with stress, anger, anxiety, or a sense of disconnection—from yourself, your relationships, or your direction in life. Therapy for men offers a confidential space to speak openly and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.
I work with men navigating career pressures, fatherhood, relationship struggles, identity shifts, or long-standing emotional challenges. Together, we’ll look at the expectations you’ve carried, how they’ve shaped you, and what needs to shift in order for you to feel more grounded and fulfilled.
Men’s mental health is deeply important, and therapy can be a powerful tool for change. I offer support for men in New York both in person and online, creating a space where you can reflect, reset, and reconnect with who you are and how you want to live.
Is therapy different for men?
Many men have been taught to handle problems on their own or avoid talking about difficult emotions. Therapy provides a confidential, judgment-free space to explore stress, relationships, anxiety, depression, work challenges, and life transitions in a way that feels comfortable and productive.
What concerns do men commonly bring to therapy?
Men seek therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, anger, self-esteem, grief, parenting, caregiving, and major life changes. Therapy can help you better understand what’s contributing to these challenges and develop healthier ways of coping.
Do I have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy?
Not at all. Many people begin therapy because they want to improve relationships, manage stress more effectively, navigate a life transition, or better understand themselves. Therapy can be beneficial long before problems become overwhelming.
Is everything we discuss confidential?
Yes. Therapy is confidential, with a few exceptions required by law to protect safety. I’ll explain confidentiality during our first session so you understand exactly what to expect.
