Individual Therapy
The benefits of working with a psychotherapist
At various points in life, many of us feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply unsure of how to move forward. You may be facing a specific challenge, or perhaps you just sense that something isn’t quite right. Individual therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore what’s going on and to begin making meaningful changes.
Working one-to-one with a therapist can help you gain deeper insight into your emotions, behaviours, and relationships. Through individual therapy, you can uncover the patterns that may be holding you back, develop more effective ways of coping, and start to move toward a life that feels more grounded and fulfilling.
As a psychotherapist, I work with people experiencing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, grief, and low self-esteem. I also support individuals working in high-pressure environments such as the creative industries, where emotional resilience and self-awareness are essential.

A collaborative, insight-oriented approach
Research consistently shows that the most important factor in successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. It’s about feeling seen, understood, and emotionally connected—what some describe as the experience of “feeling felt.” This connection provides the foundation for meaningful exploration and lasting change.
In our sessions, we’ll pay attention not only to what’s happening in your daily life but also to what comes up in the moment—your feelings, reactions, and insights as they arise. While your past experiences may inform our work, my focus is on helping you make sense of your present and shape your future.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, relational, and experiential methods, but my work is always tailored to your individual needs.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process – curious, compassionate, and practical. It’s not about analysis for its own sake, but about making room for the parts of you that may have been hidden or unheard, and helping you move toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
Starting individual therapy
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. I offer an initial consultation so that we can explore what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and whether we’re a good fit.
This first session is a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and to ask any questions you may have.
If you’re ready to begin, or just curious to learn more about how individual therapy could help you, I welcome you to get in touch.
