Group Therapy
The benefits of working with a psychotherapist
Group therapy offers a unique and powerful way to understand yourself in relationship to others. In a confidential and supportive setting, group work helps you to explore the ways you connect, communicate, and navigate emotional challenges, with the opportunity to gain insight not just from a therapist, but also from others walking their own path.
Many people find group therapy especially helpful when they feel isolated in their experiences or stuck in recurring patterns in relationships. In a group, you’re able to reflect on your internal world while observing and responding to others in real time, building self-awareness, emotional resilience, and relational skills.
I offer both ongoing psychotherapy groups and time-limited support groups, depending on your needs and goals. Some groups are open to anyone seeking personal growth, while others are focused around specific themes or life stages.

The power of group therapy
Group therapy provides a mirror through which you can see yourself more clearly. It can be a space to practise expressing your thoughts and feelings, receiving feedback, and experiencing connection in a way that might be unfamiliar, but ultimately healing.
As a group therapist, I create a grounded and containing space where members can be curious, authentic, and emotionally safe. Over time, groups often become a meaningful source of support and belonging. Many people are surprised by how impactful and intimate the group experience can be – even when conducted virtually.
Virtual support groups for midlife women
In addition to general psychotherapy groups, I also run Virtual Support Groups for Midlife Women. These groups are designed for women navigating the complex emotional and physical transitions that often arise during midlife – from shifting identities and changing family roles to perimenopause, career pivots, and evolving relationships.
These virtual groups offer a space to be heard, validated, and supported by other women going through similar changes. Together, we explore themes of aging, self-worth, health, grief, reinvention, and more. The group is not just about coping – it’s about rediscovering what matters to you and moving forward with clarity and connection.
Online sessions allow for flexibility and accessibility, making it easier for women with busy schedules, caregiving responsibilities, or location constraints to attend regularly and feel part of a steady, meaningful community.
